How To Install Dropbox In Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

“Dropbox is a free service that lets you bring your photos, docs, and videos anywhere and share them easily. Dropbox was founded in 2007 by Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi, two MIT students tired of emailing files to themselves to work from more than one computer.”

In this article I will teach you how to install dropbox in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS machine. Open a new terminal and run the following command to get the deb package.

1. Use the wget utility to download the .deb package for Ubuntu 32 bit.

wget -O dropbox.deb https://www.dropbox.com/download?dl=packages/ubuntu/dropbox_1.6.0_i386.deb

2. Install dropbox with the following command.

sudo dpkg -i dropbox.deb

3. Launch dropbox from the terminal.
